The Pey-Berland tower, a flamboyant Gothic structure built between 1440 and 1466, is the bell tower of Saint-André cathedral in Bordeaux. The spire was constructed in the 19th century and crowned in 1863 by the statue of Notre-Dame of Aquitaine. The huge eight tonne "bourdon", nicknamed Ferdinand-André, was added in 1869.
