A bucolic place, on the edge of the forest and a stone's throw from the charming village of Dampierre-sur-Boutonne, this site of Les Echappées Nature plunges you into the world of a typical Saintonge farm and offers you the opportunity to get up close and personal with the Baudet du Poitou, the oldest breed of donkey in France. A historic site for the preservation of this emblematic animal, the Asinerie offers fun and educational activities, free and guided visits, walks with a donkey, carriage rides... all at your own pace, in a natural and protected area of 55 hectares.
