The Comic Strip Museum

Like the 9th art form, the museum has evolved over time in terms of both its content and the way in which it presents works spanning almost 200 years of creation. Drawing on a heritage of over 20,000 original plates and 250,000 prints from all countries and all styles, the permanent exhibition is currently undergoing major changes. Between April 2024 and June 2026, a major rethink is underway, with the aim of providing visitors with an even richer immersive experience, including new museographic, geographical, cultural, digital and creative approaches.

In the meantime, the Musée de la bande dessinée will be displaying treasures drawn directly from its vast collections. These works will showcase a wide range of creations from all over the world, as well as a number of iconic objects linked to this art form.
