The Pays des Achards lies on the La Roche sur Yon / Les Sables d'Olonne axis in the Vendée, just 15 minutes from the Atlantic coast. Our region offers you all the advantages of the back-coast. There are no big towns here, just 9 welcoming communes, with low, red-tiled houses, cows in the meadows, a family atmosphere and a peaceful way of life that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of the big Vendée beaches, even though they're just a stone's throw away.

Lac du Jaunay, a must-see destination in the Pays des Achards, is a 114-hectare protected natural area. It is renowned for its fishing, but also for its many other sporting activities: hiking, mountain biking, water sports or just relaxing walks.
