Argentat-sur-Dordogne is a small town nestled on the banks of the Dordogne River. The town developed thanks to river trade carried out by gabares. All that remains of this past is a single gabare and, above all, the quays—an iconic part of the town’s historical heritage with their slate-roofed houses.
