Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne is a small town with a medieval character, recently named Plus Beaux Villages de France, which follows the course of the Dordogne River. The abbey church with its sculpted tympanum and the Pénitents chapel on the water's edge are just two of the many architectural gems to be found here.
