Bed and Breakfast La Maison sur l'île

Owners Janne and Francis welcome you to their home, located on an island in the middle of the Loire. Designated a 'Petite Cité de Caractère', the island is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is 15kms (9 miles) from Angers, between Savennières and Rochefort sur Loire. Ideally placed for touring the region, it is only 150Kms (90 miles) from the coast (2.5 hours drive).  

Accessed by a road bridge, the property is south-facing and sits on stilts with an elevated terrace overlooking the majestic Loire which flows-by just 30 metres away!  

The 1st Floor of the house is reserved for guests, ideal for families with 2/3 children or two couples. The combination of the large bedroom and the 2nd bedroom with twin beds (baby's cot possible) creates the family suite. It is accessed via an external staircase rising from the terrace.
 
The bathroom features a hydro-massage shower, washbasin and WC. It is independent of the 2 bedrooms but on the same floor. Bathrobes and towels are supplied.  

'Chambre d'hôte - La Maison sur l'île' is the first B&B in France to be awarded the 'ECOLABEL-EUROPEEN' - a prestigious recognition of its efforts to respect the environment. It also has the 'Clé vert', 'Loire à Vélo' and Accueil Vélo' labels recognising the importance placed on cycling within the whole of the region.
