Olhain Park, a green UFO in mining country
A park, yes. But first and foremost, a place for fun, sporty, original and funny leisure activities? Nets in the trees. Acrobatic courses. A 4-season toboggan. Like a magical forest with the ability to turn you into a playful child!
The Parc départemental d'Olhain is both an incredible UFO and a site deeply rooted in the Béthune-Bruay region. Although it was originally designed for daytime leisure activities, spending a week here today would probably not be enough? Just imagine? Mountain biking, hiking, swimming pool, camping, golf, disc golf, enchanted village (a kind of playground for children), orienteering, gîtes, tennis, restaurants and, more recently, tree nets and tobogganing? Over 3,000 m² for the world's largest course. And the coming years promise even more?
In 40 years, this park has become much more than a leisure park. It has become the place to be for those who want to walk in the air on nets, slide and shiver on summer sledges, hike, stroll?
