MUSÉE DE LA CÉRAMIQUE ET DE L'IVOIRE

Inaugurated in 1997, the museum is housed in the former municipal bath-shower complex, an Art Deco style building largely inspired by the Royal Pavilion built in the park of the Château de Commercy between 1747 and 1754 by the architect Emmanuel Heré. It presents one of the most important public collections of ivory in France from the 17th to the 20th century, as well as a beautiful collection of earthenware and porcelain representative of the production of the major European and Chinese centers from the 17th to the 20th century. The presentation of the collections is completed by showcases devoted to the history and work of ivory and ceramics. Temporary exhibitions. Duration of the visit: 1 hour.
